“The government is creating this new corporation to hide what it is doing. It wants to give millions of dollars to companies connected to its friends, just like it did with the green fund. I am worried about the company Brookfield having too much influence over the Prime Minister.”

Madam Speaker, my colleague sees right through this government’s decision to establish a Crown corporation. It is to avoid transparency. It is probably to enable the Liberals to give millions of dollars to organizations and companies linked to their Liberal cronies, as they did with the green fund. Who are the Liberal cronies in the queue these days, waiting for this Crown corporation to be established? I do not know. One thing I do know, however, is that over the past 18 months, one company in particular has been following the Liberal Prime Minister wherever he goes. That company is called Brookfield, and it sometimes even appears one step ahead of him, which worries us a great deal.
