“The member says a minister will still be responsible for this work. Does he agree that making this a Crown corporation actually removes that direct responsibility?”
“Mr. Speaker, I noted that, in the member’s speech, he said that there would still be accountability through a minister, but with the nature of creating this as a Crown corporation, does he not agree that this would inherently set the operations of this Crown corporation at arm’s length from direct ministerial accountability?”
