“I agree with my colleague who pointed out the problems in this defence bill. I think the government is acting on both of the motives he mentioned.”
“Mr. Speaker, I want to thank my hon. colleague for the work that he has done on this national defence file, as well as the work that he has done in reviewing this bill and pointing out the flaws that are inherent within it. When I think about what is motivating the government and the options that I have been given, I would have to say I believe it is both.”
