“The government's programs have failed. More Canadians use food banks now than before, and the help does not cover the thousands of dollars families pay in interest. The Prime Minister should answer these questions himself instead of having his House leader repeat talking points.”
“Mr. Speaker, the member just listed a grand list of failures. Everything the government has put forward in a program has failed Canadians because there are more Canadians eating food from a food bank than there were before the government started its food program. Everything is getting worse under the government, and all of those programs are a drop in the bucket compared to what those families are paying for interest, which is $6,000 now and will be $8,000 in 2030. They have questions. Is it worth it? The Prime Minister should answer those questions instead of colleagues just hearing talking points from his House leader.”
