“I congratulate Alvin Tedjo on becoming the new mayor of Mississauga. People in our city care about affordability, safety, and jobs. I look forward to working together with the mayor and city councillors to solve these issues.”
“Mr. Speaker, today I rise to congratulate the mayor-elect, Alvin Tedjo, as our new mayor of Mississauga. He is a person of conviction and one whom I look forward to working with. The people of Mississauga made the issues very clear: affordability, safety and jobs. I look forward to working with our new mayor and our collective councillors to ensure that we deliver for the people of Mississauga. These issues affect our safety and our entire community, and they must be addressed through consensus and through collaboration between everybody who has stood up and raised their hand to run and to serve in our community, so I want to thank everybody in our Mississauga community for coming together and for ensuring that Mississauga continues to be Canada strong.”
