“Mr. Speaker, this is a particularly spurious attack coming from the opposition. Canada is a world leader in oceans protection and oceans conservation. We have multiple departments, multiple ministers and multiple initiatives, including on our west coast, where we are working very hard on the southern resident killer whale population. We will continue to be world leaders in oceans protection. We thank the Prime Minister’s wife for volunteering to spearhead our efforts.”
