“The last time a Liberal government had to cut spending to satisfy bond markets, it hurt social services across Canada. Bond markets are unhappy again now, and our country's finances could face the same pressure.”

Mr. Speaker, it was devastating for social services delivery across the country when the Liberal government started downloading additional responsibilities, because it had to drastically cut its spending to make the bond markets happy. The bond markets are not happy right now, and we might see continued pressure on our fiscal finances as a result.
