“This bill is very important. We have talked with parents, children's groups, and mental health groups across Canada. Governments are also continuing to talk with each other. We are working on this bill now and will keep working on the rules that follow.”

There have been conversations across Canada, of course, with parents, with groups representing children and mental health, as well as other stakeholders that have something to say in this context. I cannot speak to which discussions took place between governments, but I certainly know that conversations are ongoing between governments. The people on our side, in the Government of Canada, are developing the bill here and will continue their efforts with the regulations to follow.”
