“I want the government to change this bill to make it better. The bill should put stricter rules on tech companies and their algorithms to protect what kids see online. Right now, it does not do that.”

Madam Speaker, that was an important question. There are ways that tighter strings could be attached to how tech companies run their algorithms, what they are like based on the platforms they are delivered on, and what they look like compared to, for example, the data plans on the devices that kids use to access these platforms and the Internet. Those are just a couple of examples off the top of my head where this bill could more tightly restrict what kids with kid plans on any of our networks are seeing. We do not see that in the bill, unfortunately. Hopefully the government will make some amendments and improve the bill.
