“Laws are important, but they cannot fix this on their own. Parents, teachers, and communities also need to help keep kids safe online. I want to know how the member thinks parents and other people can help solve this problem.”
“Madam Speaker, legislation is of course important, but there are many roles that society can play. When it comes to parents, guardians, next door neighbours, faith groups, educators and community-based organizations, many people can play a role in making sure we provide young people with the skills and tools they need. I would like to know from the member if she has put some thought into different ways in which parents and other members of society can play a role to really help tackle this huge challenge we have in front of us.”
