“I want to protect children, but this bill is not clear. I am pointing out the parts that are confusing so the government can fix them and make the bill better.”
“Mr. Speaker, I am not entirely sure I understand my colleague’s question, or it is possible that he did not understand my speech. What I just did is what I try to do with all of the legislation that comes before us in the House. I tried to read it. I tried to understand it. Where there was a lack of clarity, I have pointed that out and invited the government to correct the record and improve the bill so we can realize the very worthy objective of it, which is to protect our kids.”
