“Children face new dangers today from social media and artificial intelligence. How can Parliament make sure our laws keep up with these fast technological changes?”
“Mr. Speaker, I thank my colleague, whom I hold in high regard, for her speech. As legislators, we have a responsibility to adapt to the issues of the day. As we know, kids today do not face the same threats as kids from previous generations. Virtual spaces and social media are ubiquitous, and AI use is on the rise. What are my colleague’s thoughts on our responsibility as parliamentarians to acknowledge these technological changes? How can we ensure that the legislative framework keeps pace with these changes?”
