“If social media companies follow this bill, that is a success. It forces them to act responsibly, protect children, and block harmful contact. I want the member to agree that this is success.”
“Mr. Speaker, the member said that success should not be measured by mere compliance. Well, if these companies comply with this bill, I believe we can say that is success because they would have a duty to act responsibly, a duty to protect children and a duty to make certain contact inaccessible. Would the member agree that that would be success?”
