“Quebec already has rules for advance requests for medically assisted dying. I want to know if this federal bill matches Quebec's rules so we do not have to reopen the debate later.”
“Mr. Speaker, as I mentioned earlier, MAID is a sensitive issue that matters to people. There are a lot of different opinions on the subject. Quebec has already taken action with regard to advance requests. I wanted to know whether the federal government has made sure that Bill C-41 is consistent with Quebec’s legislation on advance requests, so that we do not have to reopen the debate after the bill is passed and so that we have some guidance in case amendments need to be made to the bill in committee. I would like to hear what my colleague has to say about that.”

Mr. Speaker, as I mentioned earlier, MAID is a sensitive issue that matters to people. There are a lot of different opinions on the subject.
