Jeneroux presses for large economic projects and men’s health. He champions turning the investment summit’s commitments into work — “turn those commitments into projects, jobs and economic growth” — and asks for the government’s men and boys’ health strategy, citing the men’s mental health crisis. He argues by stacking short facts — a summit figure, an event, a crisis — before putting his question.Written by AI from their statements. Updated .

The Economy

“Investors committed nearly $500 billion to Canada last week. I want the minister to explain how the government is cutting red tape so these projects can start.”
Official Hansard

Mr. Speaker, Canadians have heard a clear message from investors. They are ready to invest in Canada. Last week’s investment summit generated nearly $500 billion in investment commitments. Now we need to turn those commitments into projects, jobs and economic growth. Could the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources tell the House how the government is working to reduce regulatory duplication, cut red tape and get shovels in the ground?

Health

“Men and boys face serious mental health issues and often do not ask for help. I want the Minister of Health to give an update on the health plan for men and boys.”
Official Hansard

Mr. Speaker, we are facing a men’s mental health crisis. Too many men and boys face mental health challenges, and too many simply will not ask for help. Last week, we once again hosted an annual Father’s Day on the Hill event with Movember, where Montreal Canadiens great Guy Carbonneau shared his story and talked about the recent loss of his friend and teammate Claude Lemieux. As we mark Men’s Health Month in June, can the Minister of Health provide an update on the much anticipated men and boys’ health strategy?
