Replying to Pierre Poilievre (Conservative)
“Mr. Speaker, the Prime Minister is banning his lawyers from making those viable legal arguments, because guideline 14 is still on the federal government’s website. He is the client and is instructing the lawyer not to make the valid legal argument that fee simple private property rights extinguish all other claims. If he makes the same arguments, he will get the same results. Millions of British Columbia homeowners wonder if they even own their home. They are tossing and turning every single night. Will the Prime Minister admit the Liberal government made a mistake, unmuzzle the lawyers, get rid of guideline 14 and put property rights first in court?”
