Replying to Kevin Lamoureux (Liberal)
“Mr. Speaker, I would like to quote Joseph Neuberger, who had an article published in one of our Toronto newspapers. I quote what he said: “I write as a criminal lawyer with more than 32 years of experience, and as the chair of the Canadian Jewish Law Association.” He specifically stated, “Religious freedom in Canada is firmly protected by the Charter. That protection is well established and robust. Bill C-9 does not weaken it.” Would my colleague not agree that there is a great deal of misinformation out there that does a disservice to all Canadians because it is definitely misleading?”
