Following a speech by Kevin Lamoureux (Liberal)
“Mr. Speaker, I am disappointed that the Conservatives do not recognize that a Crown corporation is the best direction to go in when it comes to military procurement. This is for many different reasons. Suffice it to say that one of those reasons was part of the last election platform. We had indicated that it would be independent in nature. We want to be able to speed up the process to better serve our Canadian military and build a stronger, healthier economy through supporting our military industrial communities throughout the country. Why does the Conservative Party not support something that has been well established in many other areas in terms of accountability, transparency and so much more?”
