“Mr. Speaker, my friend and colleague’s fishers just off the coast of Newfoundland and Labrador have been experiencing a lot of challenges lately, not the least of which is the snow crab quota aspirations of the French. Now, they are faced with higher diesel prices, which impact every fisher because those big fishing boats are powered by diesel. They are experiencing a significant increase in their costs as well. I would like the member to maybe extrapolate what that means for her fishers.”
