Replying to Pierre Poilievre (Conservative)
“Mr. Speaker, the Prime Minister made big promises that he was going to buy Canadian. Then we learned that in his first year in office, he spent $7.8 billion more than the previous year on American companies, with Canadian tax dollars. This week, we learned that he cast aside the Commissionaires, the single largest employer of veterans in Canada, to favour an American security firm linked to Donald Trump and ICE. Why did the Prime Minister, after making his big promise, cast aside our veterans to favour an American firm at Canadians’ expense?”
