Replying to Kevin Lamoureux (Liberal)
“Madam Speaker, I brought up the issue of Standard & Poor’s and Moody’s, which have given Canada a AAA credit rating, and it is important to note that. Out of the G7 countries, which include France, England, Germany and the United States, all industrialized countries, Canada has a AAA rating. The only other country that has it is Germany. By using Canada’s fiscal position to invest in building Canada, we are going to build a stronger and healthier economy. The Conservatives do not seem to understand that. Using Canada’s fiscal capabilities will make Canada a stronger and healthier country in the long run. Does the Conservative Party not understand the benefits of doing that?”
