“Mr. Speaker, the issue of youth unemployment and how difficult it is for many young people to get that first job and join the workforce is very important. We find ourselves in a very unfortunate situation with the tariffs, but I would point out that this was initiated by our neighbours. We would love to discuss it, but someone needs to be on the other side of the table. They do not seem to be ready, despite what they say in public. As for the federal government’s role in workforce training, the federal government has a number of programs. In Quebec, we are aware of Quebec’s unique circumstances, but I think we can work together to get there, especially since we provide funding to companies in the aerospace industry, for example, which offers training programs. We believe that is an example of how we can work together.”
