Mr. Speaker, I rise to mark the 18th anniversary of Valora and commend its founder, Maria Larosa Napolitano, for her commitment to women who are the victims of domestic violence. For 18 years, Valora has been rallying the community and raising funds to support women’s shelters in the Lanaudière, Laurentian and Laval regions. These shelters give survivors a safe space and the support they need to rebuild their lives. Valora’s next event will take place on November 8 in Rosemère. Every woman deserves to live free from violence, with dignity and hope. Supporting survivors is a collective responsibility that requires lasting community commitment. I want to congratulate Maria Larosa Napolitano, the volunteers and all those who contribute to this essential mission.
