Replying to Marilyn Gladu (Liberal)
“Mr. Speaker, I thank the member opposite for his speech. I admire his passion for his community. He has pointed out a number of the buildings and things that are needed from an infrastructure point of view. Our government has put in place the build communities strong fund. I would suggest he look to the local impact fund and also the direct delivery stream. There is a provincial stream as well. Has he looked at those?”

Mr. Speaker, I would be remiss if I did not address that question by noting that the member, when she was on this side of the House before she crossed the floor, was highly critical of the government. In fact, she said that she did not get a call from the housing minister until she crossed the floor. What do we have, then? We have Liberals overtly telling us that unless one is a Liberal, one does not get a phone call from the housing minister. Where I come from, one is an MP to everybody, to the people who voted for them, the people who did not vote for them and the people who did not vote at all, just like the government is a government to every single person. Shame on the government. Will the Prime Minister be here on Friday? Will the Minister of Finance be here? Anyone? Bueller?
