Replying to Luc Thériault (Bloc Québécois)
“Mr. Speaker, I have a question for my colleague. The bill stipulates that the matter of how to administer advance requests falls under provincial legislation. Quebec has its own law. I listened to the example she gave. What makes her think that the Quebec law would have done to her aunt what she claims?”

Mr. Speaker, the translation was a bit cut off, so I am not totally sure I understood his question. The challenge, as my other colleague spoke about, is we are going to have a patchwork of law. Every province can have its own bill. People will be able to travel from province to province. It is an absolute dog’s breakfast. We need to say no to this bill.
