“Madam Speaker, I think there is a reasonable expectation among Canadians that their health data should move with them. I am from Saskatchewan. If I had a health incident here in Ontario, I would want to know that it would be very easy for my health data to be readily available to whoever is providing the service that I needed in that particular moment. I think it is important that it be up to the individual, in a sense, to decide where that data is available, so I wonder if the member has any ideas, with the bill, on how to make the individual, not so much a company and maybe not even a regional authority, the ultimate person to say that, yes, they want their health data to be available, either across the country or in certain provinces.”
