“The government only extended extra employment insurance help until 2028. That is not enough. We need a permanent fix and full reform of the system. What does my colleague think?”
“Mr. Speaker, in its economic update, the government announced a half measure for improving EI eligibility. It is extending the existing measure, but only until 2028. In our opinion, the spring gap is a perennial issue that demands a permanent solution. We are advocating for a comprehensive EI reform. I would like to know my colleague’s thoughts.”

Mr. Speaker, in its economic update, the government announced a half measure for improving EI eligibility. It is extending the existing measure, but only until 2028. In our opinion, the spring gap is a perennial issue that demands a permanent solution. We are advocating for a comprehensive EI reform. I would like to know my colleague’s thoughts.
