“We know people are struggling with high prices for food, gas, and housing. On June 5, we are giving money to 12 million Canadians to help them buy groceries and other essentials.”
“Mr. Speaker, we understand full well what people across the country are going through. That is why we have been there to make life more affordable. We are keenly aware that the first things on people’s minds are affordable housing, groceries and gas. I have great news for my colleague: the Canada groceries and essentials benefit. On June 5, 12 million Canadians will receive federal support. We are happy to do what needs to be done. We will always be there for Canadians. In the economic update, we introduced our plan to grow our economy and to support each and every Canadian.”
