“Mr. Speaker, I can certainly relate to those stories because I have farmers reaching out to me consistently, all the time. It would provide immediate relief if we eliminated all those taxes right now. They desperately need it. As I talked about in my speech today, when our farmers are paying a 48% increase from just two years ago on diesel, which is so much a part of their operations’ direct and indirect costs, they cannot sustain higher input costs. They are in real trouble and facing real risks. We are fighting for our farmers and want to provide immediate relief to them because we know they are struggling right now.”

Mr. Speaker, I can certainly relate to those stories because I have farmers reaching out to me consistently, all the time.
