Mr. Speaker, I feel a little awkward because it is true that I have talked a lot about the Bloc Québécois this evening. We are really here to talk about Bill C-38, concerning the excise tax on gasoline. I must admit, however, that I was a bit taken aback to hear the Bloc Québécois say today that it is asking the government to reinstate the excise tax on gasoline even though Canadians and Quebeckers keep talking to us about the affordability crisis every single weekend. Yes, on this side of the House, we are asking that this tax be permanently removed. I see that as one way to ease the affordability crisis this country is going through.
