Madam Speaker, seniors, who have worked hard their entire lives, should be able to afford basic necessities. Their benefits should be indexed to inflation so they keep pace with the real cost of living. However, years of Liberal taxes and rising costs have eroded seniors’ purchasing power and stressed their savings. The government needs to cut the deficit and lower taxes to help bring down everyday costs so that seniors can live with dignity.
