“We would invest in energy projects and find new markets for our fuel. Liquefied natural gas is a great idea. Prime Minister Trudeau once said there was no business case for it, but now we are building it. The Liberals are finally realizing that energy projects help our economy.”
“Madam Speaker, my colleague probably anticipates the answer. Of course we would invest in energy infrastructure. Absolutely we would invest in diversifying the market. Liquefied natural gas is an excellent idea. I cannot help but reflect on what former prime minister Trudeau said when the German chancellor came to him and said they wanted to buy liquefied natural gas, and he said there was no business case to be made for liquefied natural gas. Today we are building it. I thank the Liberals for finally getting on board and understanding that energy infrastructure is important for our economy.”
