“We are not playing games. We are speaking up for Canadians. The federal government can control parts of fuel prices and give people immediate relief right now. We need to do that.”
“Mr. Speaker, the member opposite is certainly welcome to visit my riding at any time. It is a beautiful riding. What is equally frustrating is when we speak up for Canadians and tell their stories, and then the Liberals tell us we are playing silly partisan games. I find that equally frustrating. There are many components of fuel prices that we can control and that the federal government can offer relief on, and that is exactly what we are talking about. We need to do the things we can do. There are things we can control that would have a direct impact on immediate relief on fuel prices for Canadians. In this current environment, that is extremely important.”
