Philip Earle Liberal
“I want the House to pass this bill. The world has changed. This bill lets us spend more on our military, give our troops the tools they need, and create Canadian jobs.”
“Madam Speaker, I share the same respect for my colleague across the way. We have worked collaboratively on many things since I came here as a new member of Parliament. I would say to my hon. colleague that the world has changed. The premise of his question, while well stated, does not recognize that the world has changed. This legislation would allow us to invest more into our military but build an industry right here in Canada so those investments that are made would go to create jobs, maybe in his riding or in another riding. It is all about the women and men in uniform and giving them the tools they need.”
