Mr. Speaker, Ottawa voted last night, and today I rise on behalf of my Ottawa MP colleagues to congratulate Mayor Mark Sutcliffe and all the city councillors who were elected yesterday. Special congratulations go to the three new councillors joining the table: Erin Coffin, Joanne Chianello and Chelsea Walton. Ottawa made history last night because, for the first time, women will outnumber men around the table. That is a milestone worth celebrating, and one that reflects the strong women who lead and build communities in our city. We look forward to working with Mayor Sutcliffe and the council to tackle the challenges ahead and to continue to build a strong and vibrant national capital. I congratulate all. Let us get to work.
