“Mr. Speaker, I think everyone in the House knows that this could be one of the most important bills during our mandate that could affect the most people, in particular children and families. Yes, we need to get input from all provinces, including Quebec. We need to get input from parents. We need to get input from children. We need to look at what other countries have done, because we are not the first to approach this situation. We need to make sure we learn from past mistakes, from countries like Australia, to learn from them and, again, make sure this legislation is done right for the sake of our children.”
