“This bill is not the main issue people in my riding talk to me about. Parents who do talk to me worry about government overreach, and how these rules could affect everyone while trying to protect children.”
“Mr. Speaker, I have to admit this is not the major issue that I am hearing in my riding. There are a lot of concerns about everything today with regard to being in Alberta. We have had referendum issues, which have sucked all the energy out of the room for quite a while. Parents talk to me about what we are looking at in the future, but they are always concerned that if there is going to be overreach, how these restrictions are going to affect the rest of society versus the balancing act with regard to protecting our children.”
