“We brought this motion forward because we believe in putting veterans first. They gave their lives so we could have our freedoms. I want to hear what the member thinks about that principle.”
“Madam Speaker, I would like to thank my colleague, someone I spent some time with at the veterans affairs committee. She is surely missed, but she has been well replaced. My colleague from across the aisle asked a question about principle. It was a very good question to ask. The principle of this is why we brought this motion forward as an opposition day motion. It is the principle of putting veterans first, those who have sacrificed their lives for the freedoms we have and for us to be able to speak freely in this House. I would like to hear my colleague’s thoughts on the principle of this opposition motion.”
