“I want the minister to give a yes-or-no answer. Will the Liberals support our two crime bills to protect Canadians from violent crimes like home invasions?”
“Mr. Speaker, I cannot understand for the life of me why the minister cannot answer the very simple question. The father of the family who just suffered the violent home invasion in Toronto said the following: “It is difficult to put into words the trauma of experiencing something so horrific in the one place where everyone should feel safest: their own home.” That is why we put these two bills before the House. This is a very simple question. Canadians deserve a very clear answer. Will the Liberals support these two pieces of legislation that we have before the House so we can protect Canadians, yes or no?”
