“Most businesses in both of our ridings are small businesses. We already lowered the contract limit from $25 million to $5 million to help them, and we are looking for more ways to support them. We both need to keep pushing our government to help small businesses succeed.”
“Mr. Speaker, the member understands very well that I come from a small business, and 85% of the businesses in my constituency, in fact even in his constituency, are small businesses. That is where our government’s focus is: lowering that threshold from $25 million to $5 million, and now we are looking at other ways the government can provide support. He and I have to keep advocating and making sure that our government does what is necessary for small businesses to succeed. That is what I will continue to fight for, and that is what I have been fighting for in the many years I have been in Parliament.”
