Discussion · Government Orders
Kevin Lamoureux Liberal
“I want all members to recognize and support our veterans. Our government does a lot for them, including supporting groups like the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires, where more than one in five workers is a veteran.”
“Mr. Speaker, as we wind up the debate, I want to recognize not only the valuable role but the very existence of our veterans and what they have done in the past. November 11 at 11 o’clock is a very special moment in time when we should all take time to pray and give thanks to our veterans, both past and present. I suggest that all members recognize the true value of that. I would ask them to recognize and appreciate that there are many different things the government does for vets and that all members support veterans in Canada. We continue to look forward to the fine work that the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires does every day in serving in different capacities, many of whom, 20% plus, are veterans.”
