“The government always finds solutions for Ontario and western Canada, but never for Quebec. Our health care crisis is getting worse every day. I hope the upcoming budget finally gives Quebec what it needs.”
“Madam Speaker, I thank my colleague from La Pointe-de-l’Île for his remarks and for his sensitivity to the issues he mentioned. With the budget just around the corner, I have high hopes that the government will deliver solutions for Quebec. Since I was elected to Parliament, I have come to realize that solutions are far too often found for Ontario and western Canada, but never for Quebec. However, the health care crisis is becoming more acute with each passing day. Over the coming years, I hope to see a Quebec government stand up and take on Ottawa, as we saw last week. That would get Ottawa to pay more attention to Quebec’s demands. The first round is tomorrow. I am really looking forward to seeing the budget.”
