“The government needs to put more resources into processing foreign worker applications. In my riding, slow processing is hurting businesses, health care, and the workers who come to our region.”
Official Hansard

Mr. Speaker, if my colleague across the way wants to talk about immigration, then I would like to make a request on behalf of my constituents. Right now, in my riding of Côte‑Nord—Kawawachikamach—Nitassinan, the whole labour market impact assessment process is very problematic. The government is not putting enough resources into processing these applications, so it is jeopardizing certain industries, certain public health care services and, above all, the people who decide to come work in our region. If the government wants to act fast, it can simply provide more resources so that applications can be processed quickly.
