“Mr. Speaker, this year, the Centre d’action bénévole de Québec is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Founded in 1976, this non-profit organization’s core mission has always been to promote volunteerism throughout Quebec City. For half a century, the centre has served as a vital link between community organizations and citizens who want to help. The centre has helped thousands of volunteers get involved and contribute to the well-being of our community. The Centre d’action bénévole strengthens our social fabric every day by supporting organizations, volunteers and the people of Quebec City. I would like to acknowledge the dedication of the board members, employees and volunteers who have helped fulfill this mission for the past 50 years. I congratulate the Centre d’action bénévole de Québec on this milestone anniversary, and I am grateful for its essential contribution to making our society more caring and compassionate.”
