“People who are suffering should get to choose how they end their lives, especially with illnesses like Alzheimer's. Good end-of-life care is important, but the dying person should make this choice.”
Official Hansard

Mr. Speaker, it should always depend on what the person who is suffering wants, especially with a disorder like Alzheimer’s. Of course, hospice care and end-of-life care are extremely important, and a person dying should always die with dignity, but at the end of the day, it is ultimately up to them how they choose to end their days of suffering.
