“End-of-life care is not the same everywhere. We need to talk more about how we care for dying people in our communities, and we need to work together on palliative and hospice care.”
Official Hansard

Madam Speaker, I want to pick up on the issue of end-of-life care, because it varies, from what I have found. When I was the health critic in the province of Manitoba, there were individuals in hospitals getting panelled and almost classified as needing end-of-life care, and they went to other institutions. It really varies. I am hoping that we will see more debate on the type of care in our communities today. It is important that we have a sense of co-operation when dealing with things such as palliative care and hospice care. These are all important elements that should be taken into consideration.
