“I want the member to tell us if her position on medically assisted dying reflects what most people in her riding actually want.”
“Madam Speaker, I posed a question to the member’s colleague in regard to the whole issue of advance directives, which has actually been in the public for many years. We can go back to the 1990s, when we had courts dealing with a different form of MAID. However, the question I have for the member is this: Does she believe that her position on the issue reflects what a majority of her constituents would want her say about MAID? Does she believe that she has provided balance, at the very least, or recognized what her own constituents, and it might even be a majority, have to say about this very sensitive issue?”

Madam Speaker, I posed a question to the member’s colleague in regard to the whole issue of advance directives, which has actually been in the public for many years. We can go back to the 1990s, when we had courts dealing with a different form of MAID. However, the question I have for the member is this: Does she believe that her position on the issue reflects what a majority of her constituents would want her say about MAID?
