“A person's life still has value when they get sick. Someone who can no longer speak might still want to live. I do not want them to lose their life. We should give them care, support, and love instead.”
“Madam Speaker, first of all, just because a person has finished one phase of their life and is beginning another does not mean that their life is over. A person may get sick, but their life still has value. Perhaps they want to continue living, but they are unable to communicate their will to live. I would not want such a person to lose their life. I think that, in situations like this, we need to provide the best care, the best support and the most love for that person, whether they are a former politician or anyone else.”
