“I want this bill to pass. It connects our health care system so patients have control of their medical records. It will also help doctors and stop delays, wrong diagnoses, and incorrect treatments.”
“Madam Speaker, I want to thank my friend and colleague for his long-time advocacy for creating this future of connected care in Canada. Absolutely, that is the goal for all of us, to provide the reality of more connected care in our communities. For far too long, and far too often, we have heard frustrations about remembering one’s medical records, having misdiagnoses, having mistreatments or delays. We all want that to improve. This bill would not only provide a path to that for clinicians and health authorities. It would also provide patients with the autonomy of having their personal data and more connected care for everybody .”
