Madam Speaker, I would like to thank my colleague for her very pertinent question. I am also very enthusiastic about this bill and am delighted to hear that she supports it. To answer her question, I would simply say that we no longer want medical records to be sent by fax. We want to modernize. We share the same objectives. As for the delays, whether they were caused by an election or by other circumstances, we share her frustration and want to see this work advance. As I said earlier, there are several provincial or territorial laws and regulations. As my colleague mentioned, Bill S-5 seeks to speed up the process. That is our government’s intention.
